Around June-lake

Mono Lake, very salty, and the funny looking stuff is sediment left by underwater springs.

Stevey in Pamun Crater, next to Monolake.

Steve posing as cyclops, ready to hurl rocks at odysseus. Pumice and obsidian, everywhere.

Me

Bridgeport Courthouse, one of the few buildings I likes.

Overview of Monolake. I was on this spot two years ago, in high summer, looked pretty different then. On the right side, over the ridge there is Yosemity National Park, but the roads are closed from this side. You have to basically drive all around the Sierra Nevada to get there at this time of year.

Now some pics of Convict Lake. And yes, it was cold.
